Applying to Stowe Ski & Snowboard School

Copy the list of ten questions below and paste them into an email. Send questions and answers to our Operations Manager, Donna Barton. Attached resumes or other supporting documents are welcome. 

1.       Are you 18 years of age or older? (Required)

2.       Do you ski or ride? (Must be at least intermediate level)

3.       Do you own ski or snowboard equipment in good repair? (Required and must pass a safety check).

4.       Have you taught skiing or riding before? (Not required) If so for how many seasons and where?

5.       Are you certified to teach skiing or riding? (Not required for employment. However certified experienced instructors may request an interview prior to the Hiring Clinic.)  

6.      Are you looking for a full or part time position? (FT staff members must commit to the entire season.)

7.       Have you read and do you agree to abide by our company Appearance Standards?

8.       Do you have reliable transportation to the mountain?

9.    What is your mailing address?

10.      Most first year coaches at Stowe spend a majority of their time in our kid’s school. What do you think is the best thing about teaching kids?

          Once we receive your inquiry with the above information we will mail you a Hiring Packet with lots of information about our school and the hiring process.

          The Hiring Packet indicates several documents that you need to return to us before you receive an invitation to attend our hiring clinic.

1.       Application (in packet)

2.       2 Letters of Reference (work related on letterhead please)

3.       Copy of Certification (if applicable)

·         Attend our Hiring Clinic weekend and on October 18th, 2008, you might be invited to join one of the most dynamic ski and snowboard schools in the country!

Other available positions that are affiliated with the Ski & Snowboard School :

·          Daycare attendants for children 3 months to 3 years. We also have a few positions which combine daycare duties with teaching in our growing 3 yr old ski program. Write to Kelly Blaine. 

·          Indoor attendants for our full day childrens’ ski & snowboard programs. Write to Kelly Blaine 

·          Lesson coordinators who schedule and sell group and private lessons. Write to Donna Barton.
